Past Webinar: Reaching California’s ADU Potential

Over the last few years, Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) permits and completions have increased significantly in California, but questions remain as to how sustainable this momentum can be without further financial and policy innovations. The Terner Center hosted a webinar on the latest trends in California’s ADU growth, as well as a discussion on ADU financing solutions. Professor Karen Chapple will share findings from our recent publication Reaching California’s ADU Potential: Progress to Date and the Need for ADU Finance, followed by a panel discussion featuring:

  • Steve Vallejos, Prefab ADU
  • Gary Geiler, City of San Diego
  • Erik Preston, Habitat
  • Denise Pinkston, the Casita Coalition (Moderator)

Stream the webinar above.

Presented by the Terner Center, the Center for Community Innovation at UC Berkeley, and the Casita Coalition.
