Sophia comes to the Terner Center with more than 10 years’ experience in fund development, program design, planning, and strategy for nonprofits. As a staff member and consultant, she has secured millions for organizations working on housing, community and economic development, racial equity, women’s and children’s rights, and other social justice issues, both in the Bay Area and internationally. Prior to joining the Terner Center, Sophia was the Foundations Manager for Habitat for Humanity Greater SF. She serves on the steering committee for the Emerging Leaders Peer Network, the Nonprofit Housing Association of Northern California’s group for young affordable housing industry leaders. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Sophia is a Cal alum with a B.A. in Peace and Conflict Studies who is passionate about building healthy, equitable and sustainable communities.
