Land use policy reform to allow infill and denser housing is increasingly recognized as a key strategy for decreasing pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from transportation in California. However, despite more than a decade of policy focus, progress in reducing pollution has been limited, and housing in walkable neighborhoods is still unattainable for most Californians. Informed by the latest trends and research, this webinar Climate, Housing, and Transportation in California discussed how we can close the gap between ambition and reality, learning from promising local examples.
