Smitha Buddhavarapu is a Project Policy Analyst at the Terner Center for Housing Innovation, where she manages a project focused on aligning California’s housing production with climate policy objectives. Previously, Smitha conducted research on use-inspired climate science to support decision-makers, working with scientists and practitioners across the water, energy, and land sectors. She has also collaborated with various governments, as well as multilateral and bilateral agencies, on strategy, policy formulation, and capacity-building in the infrastructure sector. Smitha holds a Master’s in Public Affairs from UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy, a Master’s in Infrastructure Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Sciences and Engineering from Bangalore University, India.
