Past Webinar: Expanding Affordability through a Renter’s Tax Credit

On Tuesday, September 24, the Terner Center for Housing Innovation and the Stanford Center on Poverty & Inequality hosted a webinar focusing on efforts to expand Renter’s Tax Credit policies at the state and federal level. Panelists explored how Renter’s Tax Credit policies could reduce housing cost burdens for millions of households and help tackle racial inequities in current housing tax policy. The webinar also included a presentation of findings from a recent paper examining the trade-offs of different tax credit policy design decisions, as well as a panel discussion about lessons learned from existing programs and advocacy efforts to advance Renter’s Tax Credit policies at the state and federal level.
