Innovative Strategies for Increasing Access to Homeownership

Webinar | Thursday, August 28 | 11:00am – 12:00pm PT/2:00 – 3:00pm ET

Persistent racial and income disparities in homeownership remain a key driver of the wealth gap in California and across the United States. This webinar explored policy and programmatic strategies to expand access to homeownership for low-income and first-time homebuyers, with a specific focus on those typically underserved by the credit market.

Experts examined shared equity mortgage models, credit-building initiatives, and other innovative approaches to increasing long-term, sustainable homeownership.

Panelists included:

Carolina Reid, Faculty Research Advisor at the Terner Center for Housing Innovation, moderated the discussion.

The Terner Center’s homeownership research is made possible through generous support from the Wells Fargo Foundation.
